Ski Reports
Thursday 1-5-06
Well the New Year brought in lots of fresh snow! Went
up and skied New Year Day, they dropped the rope to
G-6 and G-8 around 2:30 and it was thight deep for 1400'
vertical, you can't get that hardly anywhere.
This has been a great start to the season. Town was
packed, one of the best years ever for Aspen. Even with
all those people there was plenty of snow. The crowds
have gone now and the mountains are back to being almost
empty. Went up and skied The Highlands Bowl today, amazing
as usual. Lot's of fresh snow, still untracked lines
in G-4 through G-2 so get out there before the weekenders
get to it. Bluebird day today, could see for miles,
don't forget the sunscreen. Looks like more sunshine
tomorrow and Saturday with small storms coming in Saturday
night and Tuesday, other than that nothing but blue
skis all next week. This is a great time to be skiing
here in Aspen/Snowmass, plenty of base snow and blubird
days.
See you on the slopes!
