Friday 1-13-06
It has been another great week and not your typical January. In the past 5 days we have recieved about 16 inches of snow! Some years in January we get less than 10 inches in the entire month. Monday was the big day as it snowed all afternoon Sunday and well into the night. With the wind loading the rumor is it was chest deep in Aspen Highlands Bowl, as good as it gets. Snowed another 5 or 6 Wednesday night. Rather windy though on Friday so if you stayed in the trees it was soft everywhere else it was a little wind blown. You could use a powerful fat ski to plow through the wind blown for sure.

The weather is supposed to be nice today and Saturday with it starting to snow on and off again all next week. The temps are supposed to stay cold here as well in Aspen so the good snow we have isn't going anywhere!

This weekend is Winterskol so there will be lots of fun things going on around town and on the mountains, so get out there and enjoy!
